The present paper shows some results of an investigation concerning the distribution of Gramineae in South Tyrol (Province of Bolzano) carried out between 1996 and 1998. The following species presented in the paper are new to South Tyrol: Bromus carinatus, Eragrostis pectinacea, Eragrostis virescens, Hordeum jubatum, Lolium rigidum, Panicum dichotomiflorum, Phalaris minor, Sporobolus neglectus. For Bromus catharticus and Sporobolus vaginiflorus new findings are reported, for Agropyron desertorum and Psathyrostachys juncea the persistence after seeding is confirmed, which is unique in Central Europe.
